31 Jan. 2017- The Lebanese basketball national team crossed a big milestone towards the gold medal by defeating Iran with a final score of 65-62 (Q1: 14-10, Q2: 27-25, Q3: 49-47 and Q4: 65-62)
A strong start from Fadi El Khatib paved the way for Lebanon to take the lead and never fall behind except once by just 1 point.

Throughout the game, there was a problem on rebounds for the Cedars but the amount of individual talent found on the team covered that up.
This win was crucial, as we almost secured the gold medal since only 1 rather not easy game remains, against Jordan.
Big congratulations to Lebanon, let’s hope this is a first step towards a better future!
