02 Feb. 2017 – Al Ahed were off to a winning start in the Arab Football Club Championship playoff round. The Lebanese club indeed overcame Fanja 2-1 in a closely contested game.
The second leg will be played on the 8th of February, with Ahed going with an advantage, courtesy of Mohamad Kdouh and Hussein Zein who scored the first leg goals.
It is also worth mentioning that Al Ahed are sitting on top of the Lebanese football league, 5 points clear of Safa who are their closest opponents.
The club’s season is going rather well until now, so let’s hope they can grab another win in the 2nd leg game.
