12 Feb. 2017 – Tyrvinglekene Indoor Athletics has taken place in Norway, in the past week with three Lebanese athletes participating.
Krystel Saneh, Peter Khoury along with Lea Obeid took part in different events. First of all, lea Obeid, and despite feeling a pain in her leg, got the third place in the 60m indoor. She clocked 7.93 seconds in the heats breaking the Juniors Indoor record. She then ran the final in 7.90 seconds, breaking her own record.
As for Peter Khoury, he got first place and clocked 2:00.43, setting a new Juniors Indoor record. He thus broke the 2:02.34 mark by Mohammad Hannouf in the 800m!
Finally, Krystel Saneh competed in five events. She placed second in the 60m hurdles clocking 9.48. In her worst ever high jump performance (1.40) Krystel managed to finish also second. She threw 8.66m in the shot put event placing 4th and setting a new indoor record. She then jumped 5.18m in the long jump grabbing the first place and finally finished 4th in the 800m with a time of 2:38.00.
