17 Feb. 2017 – The Lebanese adventurer Joyce Azzam managed to make it to the highest peak in Latin America, the Aconcagua, which is located in Mendoza, Argentina.
Standing at 6962 meters above sea level, the peak was conquered by Joyce who made it to the very top and raised the Lebanese flag up there. Throughout her journey, Azzam was supported by the Lebanese Ambassador in Argentina as well as many of the Lebanese residents who live in Mendoza.
This peak was the 4th she climbed, and her target is to conquer the highest 7 peaks in the world. Only three still stand in her way and we wish her all the best in her quest!
