09 Nov. 2015 – The Lebanese shooter Ray Bassil added another international achievement to her record, by winning a silver medal at the Asian shooting championship in the Olympic trap category.
The championship is currently taking place in Kuwait and Bassil managed to hit the target 71 times out of 75 in the qualifying rounds to go through to the semi finals, where she got 15 out of 15. Then, in the final, Ray was able to hit 12 times out of 15 to end up in 2nd place and get the silver medal.
Now, if the international shooting federation adopts the “Quota Place” system, then Bassil secured qualification to the Rio De Janeiro Olympic games in 2016!
