09 Nov. 2015 – Riyadi went out of the Arab Basketball Championship after being defeated by Rayyan Qatar in 73-63. And here’s what the assistant coach of Riyadi team, Ahmad FARRAN, said after their defeat:
“I hate giving excuses, we happened to be playing in a very strong category and our team wasn’t ready to play on this level, especially with the absence of Ismail AHMAD, the experience was missing, we played with a rush and wrong decisions making.
“We, as the technical team, are responsible for this loss, but the positive aspect of it is that it happened before the start of the Lebanese Championship which will help us to correct everything and get back on the track.
“Our foreign athlete Shawn KING disappointed us, we expected better from him. this affected us directly. Soon Ali MAHMOUD and Ismail AHMAD will be back and we will be working on a new strategy and reorganizing the team.” – FARRAN ended.
