Tripoli Cycling Grand Prix 2015 Results

16 Dec. 2015 – The Bike Shop organized the 3rd edition of the cycling Tripoli Grand Prix 2015 on Sunday, December 13th. This annual event is the initiative of Mohamad AL ALI, the owner of the Bike shop, supported by the Lebanese Cycling Federation.

Cyclists, aged 6 and above, took part in this race and filled the streets of Tripoli, which points out the role that the Northern population plays in this sport! The races varied from 500 meters to 61km depending on the categories.

The event started in the early morning with the Rabbit category (6 and 9 years old) followed by the mountain bike competition for kids and juniors, to finally end up with the masters category (40+) and the Parents race!

The afternoon was dedicated to the Road Bike competitions including Youth, Juniors, women’s, the Masters and the Elite categories.

Finally, we should mention that this event was very weel organized and that prize money was also distributed to the winners. This kind of events is very important because they go beyond competitions to bringing together parents, kids, elite athletes in one place!
