17 Feb.2016 – The coaching staff of the Lebanese football national team, headed by coach Miodrag Radulovic, is getting the players physically fit and ready before the confrontation with South Korea and Myanmar in the 2018 World Cup/2019 Asian Championship.
Indeed, following the friendly games against Bahrain and Uzbekistan, coach Radulovic noticed a lack of physical fitness in the players who play in the Lebanese league. That is why, intensive training sessions will be held with these players to get them back in shape.
Moreover, the performance of players abroad will be closely monitored.
Radulovic has also stated that he would have preferred victories in both friendly games, especially with Lebanon performing decently against Uzbekistan and unfairly conceding goals. He continued by making it clear that no excuses were being given as Lebanon deserved to lose against Bahrain, but could have won against Uzbekistan as the players missed many chances and the referee was weak.
On the bright side, Radulovic confirmed that the relationship between players and coach was very strong, as everyone is working together towards improving. Moreover, the coach was happy about giving the chance to the players who were playing well in the Lebanese league and some of them are going to train abroad.
