24 Feb. 2016 – Two clubs from Lebanon, Al Ahed & Tripoli F.C, are representing Lebanon at the 2016 AFC cup. Unfortunately, both of them could not win their opening games, and fell to a defeat away from home.
First, Al Ahed fell to a 2-0 loss against Altyn Asyr F.C from Turkmenistan, in their opponent’s home country. The Lebanese team’s next game will be in Lebanon against Al Wehdat from Jordan, who already got its first win with a score of 2-0 against Al Hidd (Bahrain).
On the other hand, Tripoli was beat 1-0 by Nafit Al Wasat from Iraq and will play its next game in Lebanon, when they host F.C Istiklol from Tajikistan.
It is still very early in the group stage, so the Lebanese have the time and opportunity to get back on the right track and win games!
