11 Aug. 2016 – Georges Baaklini was the only Lebanese triathlete present at IRONMAN 70.3 Budapest (Hungary), a race that took place on July 30th. Participants had to start with a 1.9 kilometers swim, then a 90 kilometers biking course and finally end with a 21.1 kilometers run.
Int that race, Baaklini was able to cross the distance in 5 hours, 18 minutes and 59 seconds, finishing 618th overall and 119th in his division! It took him 39 minutes and 45 seconds to finish the swim, 2 hours 35 minutes and 21 seconds to finish the biking and finally 1 hour 56 minutes and 38 seconds for the run.
IRONMAN 70.3 is one of the toughest triathlons in the world, crossing the finish line is an achievement by itself so well done Georges!
