20 Nov. 2016 – The Municipality of Bhamdoun organised on the 19th of November several independence races in the occasion of the independence day in the presence of the General Jean Kahwaji.
The races took place in Bhamdoun’s main street with many schools taking part in the event.
The atmosphere was exceptional as this day was celebrated with national music and an army show.
Antonine Baabda were the most successful winning the biggest mumber of medals and the results came as follows:
- Men 99-2000 1200m:
1-charbel merheb – Antonins Baabda
2-Pierre kosseify – Antonins Baabda
- Men 2001-2002 1000m:

Elie hajj moussa – Antonins Baabda
- Women 99-2000 1000m:

- Women 2001-2002 800m:
